Renewable Energy enthusiast Guillaume Ardoise has joined the Ocergy team as Business Development Manager. An offshore engineer by background who is as confortable in talking MegaEuros & KiloNewtons, Guillaume will be instrumental in the company’s projected growth.
Today, the Energy Department Announces New Projects for Offshore Wind Energy Technology Demonstration and Resource Characterization. the Atkin-led project will see our OCG-Wind foundation installed at the Massachusetts Mayflower offshore wind project site.
The company principals, Alexia Aubault, Christian Cermelli and Dominique Roddier have recently been distinguished with the prestigious 2020 ASME Sperry award, “in recognition of the development of WindFloat, a floating foundation for offshore wind turbines”. More info can be found on the ASME page.
Alexia Aubault, Ocergy’s Founder & CTO was recently promoted to the rank of Fellow of the Society of Naval Architect and Marine Engineers (SNAME). Congratulations Alexia!.
“SNAME” Fellow is a distinction earned by SNAME Members whose outstanding contributions to any of the SNAME areas of interest are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation. According to paragraph B1-2 of SNAME Bylaws, “The grade of Fellow may be accorded exclusively to individuals who have made outstanding personal contributions to naval architecture, marine or ocean engineering, or allied disciplines through significant achievements in design, research, production, operation, education, or associated management. A candidate shall have attained the grade of Member and have had not less than ten (10) years of active practice.”
