Financial controller

Description

You will play a key role in actively participating in the rollout and execution of processes, tools, and reporting essential for overseeing the dynamic expansion of our operations. Additionally, you will be involved in the oversight of analytical accounting in collaboration with external accounting firms for two entities—the parent company in the US and its subsidiary in France. It’s worth noting that Ocergy’s teams operate in a remote setup, with members dispersed between the US and France, primarily concentrated in the Aix/Marseille region.

• Compile and oversee the creation of customer invoices in adherence to internal procedures and accounting guidelines.

• Supervise the allocation of expenses and income in analytical accounting.

• Facilitate the preparation of supplier payments.

• Monitor Working Capital Requirement (WCR).

• Conduct an analysis of charges by destination and department in comparison to the budget and estimates.

• Collaborate on the monthly closing process in coordination with external accounting firms, providing analysis and commentary on social accounts.

• Actively contribute to the Budget and re-estimated processes, generating analytical reports for Management and Operations, and assist in the implementation of management tools and internal processes.

• Perform ad hoc analyses as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • • Possession of a Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a top-tier university or business school. • A solid 5 to 7 years of experience, including time spent in an audit or accounting firm.• In-depth knowledge of accounting, particularly in French GAAP, and a comprehensive understanding of IFRS standards.

    • Familiarity with the processes involved in capitalizing Research and Development costs is considered an advantageous skill.

    • Proficiency in MS tools, particularly Excel.

    • Strong command of the English language.

    • Demonstrated attributes such as rigor, reliability, autonomy, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly growing environment with concise decision-making processes. • Effective communication skills with individuals outside the accounting field.
